Sam is still alive
We are closing on our house Friday November 3rd 2006.
Closing on a house. I can't believe that I am writing that down. Actually closing on a house. 5 years ago I never thought I would be writing that. Its such a great house too! 3Br/2BA 2500 Sqft pool ( above ground) in the backyard. Only thing is, is that out of all the homes we looked at this one has the least amount of character. Its a ranch... a ranch house and I am really not excited over that bit. I loved all the older homes that we looked at.... the ones built pre 1970... the ones with the interesting architechture... the ones with the cool doorways and rooms that wound around within each other. hallways that snaked thru the house instead of a strait shot .... BUT this will be our house.. we can do and paint and fix it however we like it... spring fawn for the most part.. coral in the kitchen.. and Sam has chosen a daring WHITE ( yawn) for his room.... But its ours... and the full basement will be the Dawg House.. Curt finally gets his dawg house... Complete with donated pool table and wet bar... big screen and surround sound. I get upstairs to do with how I please.. beadboard and new celing in the kitchen are first on the list... it has this horrible drop down ceiling in the kitchen with floresant lighting which HAS TO GO asap.. but I can deal with anything as long as its in MY HOUSE.. which it is.. so that is just fine with me!
